A cooling tower at nuclear power stations is quite huge, too huge for human beings to look inside without a help of aerial views. This leads a fact that when one sees it from his standing point of view, it looks as if it were an enigmatic object that one must not have an intimate relation with. On the other hand, its sky scraping attitude looming on the ground gives us some kind of sublime feelings. I chose it as a motif since I found its bimodal character described above interesting. Moreover the shape of the tower shown here is only found in Europe and the US, not in Asia including Japan, which is quite flesh to me as a Japanese.
